That is Chance (eyes will always be closed, plus I made them look too much alike since their siblings).

Also, note the difference in the tattoos. Scout’s got the leaves and Chance’s are… uh… swirly. -ish.

also, does want Scout’s jacket. has that awesomeness-within-simplicity thing going on
Scott does amazing jackets. I don’t know what the deal is with them, but anyone he draws in really anything beyond a t-shirt just instantly looks five times more awesome, and the jackets get a good 7x multiplier. I don’t think there’s a jacket he’s drawn I haven’t wished to own.
I just read the panel when Chase shatters in front of Scout, then I read this panel. The two go together extremely well. Anyways, Nice work. Big fan

I…think that’s intentional, or unintentionally awesome? I got the vibe of less “I just got cracked in the JAW!” and more “…excuse me. I was TALKING to this (soon to be) DEAD GUY.”
Which makes him scarier by far.
Considering how this fight ends I can buy that evilguy is genuinely not all that phased by this.
Then again, his mouth has blood coming out of it.
oh, and the effects on and around his arm are FANTASTIC.

Y’know, it’s ironic, this entire day i’ve felt like everything i do i’ve been thinking about my younger brother who passed back in February, went to a good English pub (The Whale & Ale, in San Pedro, Ca.), shared a couple of beers with my old man, help my ex-step mom move, the whole time, every last conversation was about Devin, and hear I go, reading an update on one fo my fav web comics to date, Scout, and it’s about how his OLDER brother died. gets me thinking even more about how awesome a thing brothers are.

This is my first time commenting and I love this and Nerf This a lot. They are both top notch and compelled me to read the archives in a day. But I have to say, when I read this comic I imagined the last panel saying in block letters ‘PHONE!’

Looking at the second panel I though “wow, Scout’s kinda hardcore – about to be decapitated by a speeding stop sign and he barely cringes!” 😯
But then I realized “wait – 200mph? Oh, so he just didn’t have time to react fully… That’s not quite as awesome on his part. GO CHANCE GO!” =D

New reader. It took me a while to get into this, mostly cos I was lazy, but once I forced myself to stop being lazy, I was hooked. This is an awesome comic. I can’t wait for more.
